Melissa Dinwiddie is an award-winning artist and calligrapher, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She combines a background as a calligrapher with a deep love for her Jewish heritage to create works of beauty, depth, and technical excellence.

A tree of life stands on a hill, wrapped with a blue ribbon that proclaims (in Hebrew) “I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine.” Jerusalem appears in the distance, and a river flows by. Grapes and lilies – images from the Song of Songs – grow on the hill, along with sunflowers and irises. The sun shines on the right, and the sky darkens into night, with a crescent moon and stars, representing the passage of time
