The Seasons of Joy Ketubah is a celebration of the marriage vows today and the promise of a future together for the bride and groom represented by the seasons to come. This ketubah elegantly combines the beauty of nature, the flow of the seasons and the joy of the wedding in a delightful, exuberant and folksy illumination. Gold foil accents add a shimmering effect.

Four trees in each corner represent the ebb and flow of the seasons. The top left tree features the buds and young leaves of spring. The top right tree features the fullness of the green leaves of summer. The bottom right tree features the flaming beauty of autumn. The bottom left tree represents the hibernation of winter.

The cycle of the seasons from tree to tree is symbolized by the circle of the vows. Surrounding the actual ketubah text, is the quote from the Song of Songs (II:10-12) in a circle:
For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle dove is heard in our land.

The quotes in English in between the trees clockwise from the top are as follows:

I have found the one in whom my soul delights
You and I in joy and happiness
I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine
I will betroth you to me forever

All of the traditional quotes on the Seasons of Joy Ketubah are created in gold foil in Mickie’s beautiful calligraphy.
